RIP Cyrille Regis

Just heard he passed away after suffering a heart attack, aged 59.

RIP.

Forgive me Sunzi but can you edit title to 

Cyrille not Cyril 

This man was my hero growing up and the reason I took the game very seriously 

Couldn't wait to watch MOTD on a Saturday with my Dad mainly because of how many black players were in the WBA side

The level of abuse was horrendous carrying the torch from the great Clyde Best

My dad would look at me and say those inflatable bananas and monkey noises will soon cease when Laurie + Cyrille shut them up and most of the time they did 

Team of78 were truly awesome but the semi final loss v Ipswich had me crying all night 

His one man performance against Man Utd cemented him as my favourite ever player and hero 

R.I.P big man ,go play keepy uppies with Laurie

Actually saw a piece on that WBA team that had 3 black players recently. Was crazy to hear and see how they were treated back then.

Stood up to the bullies,brave man, great player in an exciting wba team.

remember watching them beat man utd 5-3 on motd
