Match Report

The Chilean outfits play-off hopes fade as they go two down to Palmeiras.

Totti’s men approached this fixture like team with no pressure on their shoulders having nothing but mid table mediocrity left to play for, the polar opposite of their promotion chasing counterparts.

The first half brought no goals but the warning signs were there for Swinny’s lot with Palmeiras coming close on a few occasions. Midway through the second half and that man did it again for Palmeiras. From just inside the 18 yard box Halilović curled the ball hard and low into the far corner, first time and with his less trusty right boot, after a lovely little lay off from Guilherme.

Leo Baptistão came on to replace the tired legs of Chicarito and had an immediate impact. The Brazilian timed his run to perfection to latch onto Halilović’s defence splitting pass before stepping inside and gently curling the ball low past the dive of the Everton Keeper.

To their credit, conceding the 2nd awoke the Pansexual and Everton piled on the pressure for the final 20 minutes, forcing Audero into a string of saves. The Chileans were particularly impressive and dominant when throwing crosses into the Palmeiras box at Toko Ekambi and one wonders what the outcome may have been if Swinny’s boys had bombarded the away end like this earlier in the proceedings?

thanks for game Swinny, always a pleasure dude 👍 good luck with the rest

Thanks for posting mate, Never got going in this one and really struggled to get anywhere near you in the first half, second half was a little better but my team had already gone in holidays.

Well played enjoyed the game and good luck for next season.
