Match Report

A Mandžukić late winner keeps the Italians on the rise.

Tielemans scored a banging goal from 25 yards midway through the first half, hitting hard and low into the right hand corner after a give and go with Halilović. It was no less than the home side deserved for their endeavours. Torino always looked dangerous though and as the first 45 wore on Bridgey’s men pinned Palmeiras back inside there own half before getting there just rewards with a goal on the stroke of half time. Erokhin finished low past Audero from inside the 18 yard box.

The second period was end to end. Diaz was particularly impressive in the Torino goal pulling off a couple of fine saves to deny Guilherme and Halilović..... whilst the little Croat also managed to squander a fantastic chance to take the lead, racing clear of the halfway line before slotting the ball the wrong side of the right hand post. Torino took full advantage of Palmeiras wayward finishing and piled the pressure on there opponents, their own Croatian providing the match winner in scrappy fashion with only minutes of the match remaining. They all count and Mandžukić and Bridgey won’t care one bit.

Frillypink one Bridgey 👍 good game dude
