Remember when he was bragging about shaking hands with everyone in a hospital a few weeks back...

Do hope him and his mrs are ok in the end

That was a lie mate as no one was infected at that hospital at that time

Think it was in Kettering

Thousands more in the UK will die as direct consequence of decisions made by Boris/the government, not only during this crisis but also from years of underfunding the NHS. I wish they showed the same kindness and consideration they are receiving from the same people they have been ignoring all along.

true, all over the world.

funny thing about capitalism is that it's so great, just needs to be bailed out by socialism every 15 years :D

In a sort of sick and twisted way, I kind of think that this could be true

Indeed, which is why the NHS love-in is kinda cringe/hypocrisy...

You don't know what you got till it's gone, or... when it's caring for you (hopefully going to save your life *fingers crossed*).

Yeah I had my doubts aswell... but as dirty as politics is, surely this would be a sick and disrespectful ploy/publicity stunt.

That Cummings is aids.

It would be, I know I said it to my mates when it was first announced last week. Gets him out the firing line and comes back the hero.

Story writes itself, people will lap it up.

PAH !!

i remember being on FLM 5 or 6 years ago. The Tories had already started to decimate the NHS.

I was on a pension scheme where I could retire at 60, Cameron and  Osborne attacked the NHS Pension scheme, forced everyone onto a new scheme that meant we all had to retire at 67 instead

i complained on FLM and was met with howls of derision about why should NHS get a good pension deal etc etc

FFS, look at the people who work in the NHS, nurses, doctors, carers - it’s a tough stressful job, who wants to do that till they are 67?

now this situation hits, and suddenly the NHS is “appreciated”

makes me sick to my stomach, I have worked in health care for 30 years in many different situations including A&E, acute surgery, acute mental health, the State Hospital for the criminally insane and psychotherapy services

Ive recently had cancer, still recovering and having treatment - jeez I’ve about had enough of trying to help others in the face of ungrateful Government and public reaction

sorry if I’m ranting but the too late hypocrisy is sickening

Seems plausible in one regard but the hospital would need to be In on it as well which they never would be.

The hospital wouldn't need to say anything anyway would they? Patient confidentiality and all that?

The stories of NHS staff being threatened with losing their jobs should they speak out against the blatant incompetence of this government are rife having been approached by high ranking government officials

Tell me when you've seen a union type spokesman in front of the camera ripping this lot a new over inadequate PPE or maybe the 8,000 beds at a cost of 2.5m a day to the NHS or maybe you'd think they would want to bring up the issue of clipping Gtech who could have produced the vents but gave it to Dyson an open supporter of Brexit and the Tories and had made f**king 30 , or maybe their beef would be about another bare face liar Hancock who i might add attends the opening of the Nightingale after only 7 days in supposed isolation and sneezes all over the mic , maybe it's the 20k front line staff getting tested a week and not the 100k as promised which given their employment DB would take 18 months to complete

No neither have i

I said the same to my girlfriend last night when it was announced. With people breaking lockdown left, right and centre to enjoy the sunshine, what better way to strike a point home than for the pm to be in intensive care with covid 19. I hope that isn't the case as that surely would be a new low but then again it is also a genius idea to make it clear it can hit anyone.

I think its been confirmed that anyone on commission based salaries will now have that included in their 80% furlough payments.

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/claim-for-wage-costs-through-the-coronavirus-job-retention-scheme

Quote

Past Overtime, Fees, Commission, Bonuses and non-cash payments

You can claim for any regular payments you are obliged to pay your employees. This includes wages, past overtime, fees and compulsory commission payments. However, discretionary bonus (including tips) and commission payments and non-cash payments should be excluded.

Mrs TeK has been furloughed and we were looking at like a 50-60% reduction in income because it was paying the basic. Her commission is contractual, so hopefully it falls under this.

Either that or he didn't have symptoms but was tested 10 days or so ago and tested positive and now the symptoms are showing?

So according to Gove, Boris isn’t on a ventilator. Why is he in intensive care then?

The lies are starting to unfold
