Dzeko saves the Biancoceleste

Written by

Edin Dzeko is used to Playing in Blue and white, after some successful years at Manchester City. The Biancoceleste were in a relegation battle and facing Division 1 mediocrity

which was a massive fall from grace from finishing 2nd to the eventual winner Bushlerker (sweatiest of the sweats).

When we last wrote about Lazio’s plight, a third of the season had passed, and Lazio were languishing in 8th place, having picked up only 3 wins and losing 4. Lazio set their stall out based on a strong defence and they had conceded 13 in 8 games… which when compared to last season was almost double what they were used to average per game.

Two thirds of the season and Lazio are still in 8th… facing a very uncertain future. 29 had been conceded in 18 games and goals were not coming and something had to give.

Lazio then managed to find the signature of Edin Dzeko at 40.6m plus a player purchased from fellow Xbox manager Nurologic, who is a known anti-transfer guy. Lazio put in alllllll of the leg work to make this happen and finally, Lazio had a target man capable of leading Lazio to a bright future. Dzeko had 6 games to turn the fortunes of Lazio around…. Could he do it?

HELL YES was the emphatic answer… Dzeko not only scored 8 goals including 4 vs relegation rivals Real Madrid.

The season is now over, and Lazio find themselves on 44 points, 9 points clear of the relegation zone. Lazio stuck with their manager and made a key signing, and it paid off.

Another season in the premiership beckons… FORZA LAZIO!

NB. Lazio have since rebranded to Sport Recife.
