Too Big To Go Down?

Written by
Last week the Palestino manager, BadBrownBear met with the club’s Trillionaire owner Gol Deeloks seeking assurances about the level of support he will be given in the transfer market to guarantee Premier League survival.

Last year BBB led  Palestino formally known as Internacional to safety despite the club sitting second bottom during the Christmas period. Confirming safety on the last day of the season against bitter rival CuteBrownBears Manchester united in a televised game with 1-1 draw.

BadBrownBears main concern is not to be in the same fight again to stay in the division but with a defeat in the opening game to newly promoted side PEC ZWOLLE coupled with a frustrating pre-season and lack of activity in the transfer market it’s hard to see how he can achieve that without spending big.

The clubs owner has promised a gross investment of 200m with players moving in and moving out and rumours are that Schweinsteiger, Arda Turan and Varane are amongst the favourites in joining Palestino this season.

“The most important thing is me recruiting the players which will help the club get better. One of the problems is these greedy agents are already ringing up booking and buying their brand new 25 bedroom mansion because they are going to make so much money, charging so much for the players you want to buy. You will have to pay them so much to get the players because if we don’t do it, someone else will”

Despite having played 9 games and a squad already full of quality, BBB's side sits rock bottom of the table. That’s not a blip, it’s a dreadful run and they deserve to be where they are right now.  But Palestino are not alone, the likes of Manchester united who lost out on the title last year by one point were also sitting in the relegation zone but recently hit some excellent form.  The bottom line is that no team can take safety for granted, especially this season. The idea that Palestino are too big to go down is ridiculous.

"We will bounce back, we are too big to go down, we are PALESTINO"

Will Palestino survive the drop or is relegation inevitable?
