December Wage Window Review

Written by Tezombie

December 8th has marked the first big shake-up for Season 12 with tax on the rich, followed by wages for all. Davo announced this news a few weeks prior, giving the money hoarders and managers with Pansexually squads plenty of time to call their financial advisers and perform some shady deals. And to top it all off, the Bank of Davo opened its doors late on to allow for loan enquiries of up to 50m PENce for those struggling for this moment. Massive twist to an already crazy few weeks!

Out of all this mayhem we have a rare opportunity of tranquillity; everyone now has a locked down squad and PENce is spread more evenly throughout the PEN community. Now the dust has settled we now know who had to pay tax, as well as everyone's wage bills. It’s easy to see who has what financially, it’s all there on the forum, but what can take a little more time are the squads themselves. Armed with a calculator, 6 cups of coffee and a huge Domino’s Pizza it’s time to take a look at all the squads, and see where the power lies.

The Divisions.

Not surprisingly, both the Premier Divisions hold the highest overalls for squads, with the XBOX Prem having the highest average midfield, and the PlayStation Prem ruling with the best average defence and attack as well as the best overall average. On the flip-side both bottom divisions for each console hold the worst averages. This shows that PEN truly does follow real-life situations.

Age wise, the PS Prem has the youngest overall age, closely followed by PS Division 2. XBOX Premier League has the oldest average, with 1-1/2 year’s difference on average!

One final quick table, to show a more realistic squad rating based on each managers top 14 players to allow for a starting XI and three subs to be utilised. The overall average will be a great tool to use, but the def, mid and att will be only a rough guide as it is impossible to get everyones team right based on formations etc. For information the data behind the scenes has been sorted by overall rating, then wage, then age.

So there you have it, a full comprehensive breakdown of all managers and their squads. It will be interesting to see when the next window closure occurs as to who has done what and which players (if any) get upgrades and downgrades.
